So what? The journey is On..

So what the journey is on and we never know when and how.

The journey outside is like generally we blame others for our own mistakes and faults, some blame their own fate and luck, ‘this is bad period of my life’, ‘someone has cast evil eye on me’, ‘I am always unlucky’, 'I am not a blessed one’, ‘God’s curse is on me’, ‘others have everything and I don’t have’ etc.  An intelligent person does not get into blame game and works to improve his own lot.

The intelligent and unintelligent journey of life is similar to the story below.

Story:
Once upon a time there was a kingdom in which each king could rule only for five years. Thereafter, he would be taken across the crocodile infested in river adjoining the kingdom and left in the forest full of wild animals on the other side.

The first king of our story ruled for five years in pomp and splendor enjoying the power and the glory, with never a thought of the future. After five years, when he was taken across the river, he was trembling with fear and met the same fate as many of his ancestors.

The next king, having heard of the fate of the previous one lived in fear for his entire tenure without sleep and peace of mind for a single day. He finally met his fate in the forest across the river.

The king who came thereafter decided to enjoy for the first four years and worry thereafter. The latter part of his tenure was spent in great fear and sorrow and he too dies the same death.

The last king was intelligent. He enjoyed himself, ruled well, served all and built a mighty kingdom. When his time was over, the citizens were reluctant to let him go. However, following the rule of kingdom, he bid goodbye to all and boarded the boat without fear and anxiety but with love and a tearful farewell from his subjects. The same boatman ferried him across. He could not understand why the king looked so peaceful and fulfilled when he was to meet a horrible death. When asked, he was told, “I worked hard last five years not just to build the kingdom that I ruled, but also got people to build a great kingdom across the river. Look ahead and see for yourself.” He saw in distance a great city with palatial buildings and crowd waiting with garlands to greet their new king.

The travel is from outside to inside and then everywhere, knowing all creatures, big and small to be forms of God and therefore treating them all with respect and love, never deviate an hair’s breadth from the truth, duty and good conduct.

The wise live in a way that paves for a grand future ahead. They live beautifully, leave the dignity and reach divinity.  This is the true journey of life. Enjoy the journey….
